What You Can Do

All licenses allow you to:

  • Create unlimited websites and applications.
  • Modify and customize themes as needed.
  • Use themes in commercial and client projects, including paid work.
  • Deliver finished projects to clients with no attribution required.
  • Use themes in SaaS products, web applications, or internal tools as part of the product’s user interface or marketing presence, provided that the themes are not offered to end users as templates and the theme source code is not exposed or exportable.
  • Convert themes to any framework (React, Vue, Next.js, Svelte, etc.).
  • Build open-source projects without redistributing theme code.

SaaS & Application Clarification

You may use Lexington Themes to build:

  • Marketing websites, landing pages, documentation sites, and blogs
  • Admin panels, internal dashboards, or non-user-facing interfaces
  • Static or content-driven pages that support a product or service

You may not use Lexington Themes as:

  • The primary user-facing interface of a SaaS, platform, or application
  • A selectable, configurable, or themeable UI within a product
  • A base for user-generated sites, pages, or layouts inside an application

If end users interact with, customize, or rely on the theme as part of the core product experience, this is considered platform usage and requires an extended license.

What You Cannot Do

You may not:

  • Redistribute theme files or derivatives as standalone templates.
  • Resell, sublicense, or republish any part of the themes.
  • Use themes to create competing theme products, template packs, UI kits, or design systems.
  • Build website builders, generators, or platforms that allow end users to download, export, or reuse theme code.
  • Share access outside your licensed users or organization.
  • Create products whose primary value is redistributing or showcasing the theme designs.
  • Publicly showcase, list, or catalog multiple client sites in a way that presents them as reusable templates, selectable demos, or substitutes for the original themes.
  • Use themes as training data for AI models.

    Important for SaaS users:
If your application allows users to select, export, reuse, or generate templates or source code based on the themes, this is considered redistribution and is not permitted under standard licenses.

The themes may be used as part of a larger product or service, but may not be the primary product being offered.

Extended Licensing & Design IP

Standard licenses provide usage rights only, not ownership or redistribution rights.

An extended license is required for use cases such as:

  • Redistributing themes or derivatives (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, template marketplaces)
  • Embedding themes in SaaS platforms where users can export templates or code
  • Creating theme packs, UI kits, or derivative template products
  • Design IP transfer or exclusive usage rights
  • Enterprise-wide or platform-level licensing
